for everyone
Susie and Alice are invited by YoungPinoyFashion to Philippine Fashion Week at NBC tent, Fort Bonifacio.

Sunday night was the Luxe Wear Collections show. It featured; Aldrich Aparicio, Alex Pigao, Avel Bacudio, Chris Diaz, Dodjie Batu, Eddie Castro, Eric Delos Santos, Eric Sapaula, Erwin Tan, Gerry Katigbak, Jay Sustiger, Glenn Lopez, John Paras, Joy Bernaldez, Kenneth Chua, Melvin Lachica, Peter Lim, Popoy Barba, Protacio Empaces Jr., Rajo Laurel, Ramon Favila and Tina Daniac. Of course, I can't tell who made what outfit unless I know the designer or he/ she is a friend.

The pictures are not in chronological order. Something went crazy when I used two different camera bodies.

I hardly know about the fashion industry...the choices in this gallery are from a personal point of view or a photo hobby-ist point of view. I did take pictures of every single outfit that hit the ramp though...but you wouldn't want to look at almost 200 pictures. So... it looks like i'll be learning a bit about clothing materials now.

Not a bad, not a bad. Ganda pa ng pwesto mo.

Sumakit legs ko sa pwesto pare.... then i had to snake my lens through shoulders, flash bulbs, elbows and a few legs. Sadly, not women's legs. =)
I was overexposing lots of shots though... Alistair got it right and has better exposed pictures. The 2nd day finds me getting the proper exposures =)

I remember the movie Munich. Eric Bana wore something like this :o)
ubb622 wrote on Apr 4, '06
It might be Munich inspired then. As for me...it just reminds me of british prints of the 40's. Oh! I have pictures of Philippine factory workers during the 50's. Man, they came to work looking that smartly dressed! Long sleeves, the hats, baggy pants and wing tip boots!

i like this photo... black dress and red ramp... colors that remind me of Japan =)

You can see how the dress floats as she sways that it's really light fabric. It only looks heavy because it's dark and because of how it's tailored.

Ayyy, pink!

Lovely... gloves?

This was another of my favorite outfits. It's simple, but I like the juxtaposition of the colors... red, yellow, blue. Reminds me of something... And the whole outfit is so Filipiniana inspired!

Ok, I shall post my shot of this dress in lickety split just so people can further appreciate the sequines and shiny bling blings and how much work must've gone into this piece...

Red and black or against each other is always powerful don't you think?
Just like a 60's black Corvette with red sides, or black table cloth with red napkins, or a flamenco dancer in black and red. Something about the combination that wakes the senses.
The next day they lit the ramp green.
Show you in a bit if i don't fall asleep on my desk.
I liked the red lit ramp more though.
You stayed in Japan for a bit?

Such lines! Such powerful form! All by the simplest of peekaboo dresses!

You are most probably right.
I'm really quite curious to see the inseams of the skirt...i wonder how they stich it to give that effect?

Showed this to my mother and she loved it too. I like the combined "saturartion" of the colors too.
I wonder how it will look in daylight? Won't it be too heavy? Maybe an early afternoon garden party...

Thanks Doc!
Imagine what the photos of Eddie Boy must be like!
Oh, check Alistair's page. You'll love his shots more!

If Meg (no, not the magazine...a friend) defines the tilt as such, then it must be so. Hahaa!

'Sus,it's a full skirt and gathered at the waist to give it a more "bunched" effect. The fabric looks like a synthetic taffeta or something similar
